The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) utilizes the Housing Choice Voucher Program Inspection Form to collect information related to Section 8 of the US Housing Act. The information is used to determine whether the unit/apartment complex meets the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program's Federal Housing Quality Standards. Minimum housing quality standards may be based on local building department codes that can exceed the federal standards.
